Buoyed by positive gains for shares of Walgreens Boots and Goldman Sachs, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Wednesday morning. The Dow DJIA, -0.77% is trading 169 points higher (0.6%), as shares of Walgreens Boots WBA, -0.41% and Goldman Sachs GS, -1.29% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Walgreens Boots’s shares have climbed $0.95, or 2.7%, while those of Goldman Sachs have gained $4.64, or 2.4%, combining for an approximately 37-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Travelers TRV, -1.67%, Merck MRK, -1.02%, and IBM IBM, -0.38%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.58-point swing.
