UnitedHealth's stock gain, Goldman's drop a 3-point net benefit for the Dow

The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.31% was getting just a light lift from earnings reporters Wednesday, as the boost from UnitedHealth Group Inc.’s UNH, +2.83% better-than-expected results was being mostly offset by Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s GS, -0.18% profit miss. UnitedHealth’s stock was rising $3.54, or 1.2%, to add about 24 points to the Dow’s price, while Goldman shares fell $3.12, or 1.3%, to subtract about 21 points. The Dow was up 62 points, with 19 of 11 components gaining ground.
