U.S. stock-market futures jumped out of the gates late Sunday after the U.S. and China agreed Saturday to pause their tariff war, indicating likely gains Monday on Wall Street. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YM00, +0.84% surged more than 200 points, and S&P 500 futures ES00, +0.92% and Nasdaq Composite futures NQ00, +1.40% jumped more than 1%. “After the markets were stuck in trade-war limbo for the better part of two months, investors will breathe a massive but exhausted sigh of relief that both the US-China opted to push the reset button and restart trade negotiation[s],” Stephen Innes, managing partner at Vanguard Markets, said in a note Sunday. The gains come after the Dow just logged its best June in more than 80 years.
