Shares of IBM and Caterpillar are trading lower Friday afternoon, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of IBM IBM, -2.34% and Caterpillar CAT, -1.24% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.09% was most recently trading 75 points lower (-0.3%). IBM’s shares are off $3.63 (2.4%) while those of Caterpillar have declined $2.46, or 1.8%, combining for a roughly 41-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Cisco CSCO, -0.74%, Pfizer PFE, -1.14%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, -1.34%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.78-point swing.
