Shares of 3M and UnitedHealth are trading higher Wednesday morning, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.13% was most recently trading 91 points, or 0.3%, higher, as shares of 3M MMM, +1.76% and UnitedHealth UNH, -0.23% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. 3M’s shares are up $2.48 (1.4%) while those of UnitedHealth are up $4.42 (1.4%), combining for a roughly 45-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.86%, Goldman Sachs GS, +1.35%, and Merck MRK, +1.61%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
