Buoyed by positive momentum for shares of Boeing and Caterpillar, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Friday morning. The Dow DJIA, +0.39% is trading 311 points higher (1.1%), as shares of Boeing BA, +1.89% and Caterpillar CAT, +2.24% have contributed around 25% of the index’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares have climbed $5.49, or 3.3%, while those of Caterpillar have gained $5.36 (3.3%), combining for an approximately 71-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are UnitedHealth UNH, +1.64%, Honeywell International Inc. HON, +1.30%, and Amgen Inc. AMGN, +0.30%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
