Led by positive momentum for shares of Boeing and Caterpillar, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Friday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +0.39% is trading 233 points, or 0.8%, higher, as shares of Boeing BA, +1.89% and Caterpillar CAT, +2.24% are contributing about 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares are up $5.37 (3.3%) while those of Caterpillar are up $4.54, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 65-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include UnitedHealth UNH, +1.64%, Honeywell International Inc. HON, +1.30%, and Dow Inc. DOW, +0.59%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
