Led by positive growth for shares of Walgreens Boots and Chevron, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Wednesday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -0.46% was most recently trading 179 points (0.6%) higher, as shares of Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.56% and Chevron CVX, +0.20% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Walgreens Boots’s shares have climbed $1.30 (3.7%) while those of Chevron are up $2.37 (3.1%), combining for a roughly 24-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Boeing BA, +0.10%, 3M MMM, +1.67%, and Merck MRK, +0.07%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
