Apple Inc.’s shares are up $2.08, or 1.8%, while those of Dow Inc. are up $0.72 (1.4%), combining for an approximately 18-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Microsoft MSFT, +1.57%, Johnson & Johnson JNJ, +0.66%, and Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, +1.35%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
