DOW, +3.60% and Exxon Mobil XOM, +3.00% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.11% was most recently trading 152 points (0.6%) higher. Dow Inc.’s shares are up $0.97, or 1.9%, while those of Exxon Mobil are up $1.25 (1.8%), combining for an approximately 15-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Caterpillar CAT, +4.85%, 3M MMM, +3.09%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, +4.75%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.78-point swing.
