Dragged down by losses for shares of Dow Inc. and Intel, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday afternoon. Shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -2.52% and Intel INTC, -2.76% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -1.01% was most recently trading 266 points, or 1.0%, lower. Dow Inc.’s shares have declined $1.45, or 2.7%, while those of Intel have dropped $1.53, or 2.6%, combining for a roughly 20-point drag on the Dow. Goldman Sachs GS, -2.48%, Apple Inc. AAPL, -1.78%, and 3M MMM, -1.84% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.78-point swing.
