Led by strong returns for shares of Walt Disney and JPMorgan Chase, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Thursday morning. The Dow DJIA, -0.34% was most recently trading 127 points, or 0.5%, higher, as shares of Walt Disney DIS, +0.46% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, -0.11% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Walt Disney’s shares have climbed $2.89 (2.1%) while those of JPMorgan Chase are up $1.52, or 1.4%, combining for an approximately 30-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Visa V, -0.47%, Microsoft MSFT, -0.85%, and Dow Inc. DOW, -0.32%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.78-point swing.
