The nanny of a missing Florida boy was arrested in connection with his disappearance, but authorities have not yet found the four-year-old.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert early Friday morning for Dominic Caprio, who was last seen Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Regions Way in Jupiter.
His 57-year-old nanny, Blanca Castro, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility Friday morning, Local News 10 reported. She was last person to be seen with the boy, police said.
Dominic’s mother, Danielle Caprio said she’d left her son with Castro around 12:30 p.m., but when she returned home an hour later, both were gone, the Palm Beach Post reported.
The boy is described as 3 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators said Dominic was wearing a gray pajama top with dinosaurs and green shorts the last time he was seen.
Police believe he could be with 60-year-old Elizabeth Caprio and 64-year-old Luis Caprio — the boy’s exact relationship with the pair was not immediately clear.
They may be traveling in a blue 2013 BMW with Florida plates. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact authorities.
